DASCH wishes to thank Pembina Dodge Jeep for their generosity. They raised over $7,000!
Pembina Chrysler Dodge Jeep treats the needs of each individual customer/business with paramount concern. We know that they have high expectations, and as a car dealer they enjoy the challenge of meeting and exceeding those standards each and every time. Allow us to demonstrate their commitment to our agency.
For more than a decade, Bernie Clement and his team at Pembina Chrysler Dodge have not only helped DASCH will all our vehicle needs, they have assisted us in making dreams come true. Every year a Dodge convertible vehicle is donated for the day to allow our folks to drive around in luxury. Pembina Dodge also supports our every effort in fundraising and this month they are taking the driver’s seat. Any purchase of a new vehicle, a $100 donation will be made to DASCH. They are also hosting numerous events/raffles the entire month to reach this fundraising goal.
In the early morning of September 2nd, the “DASCH Month Kick Off” officially took place at Pembina Dodge. Bernie and his management team cooked a breakfast of champions for DASCH representatives and his staff. Philip (DASCH resident) provided their staff with an introduction about our agency and spoke proudly about his story. The event was concluded with Philip drawing the lucky winner of 2 Winnipeg Jets season opener tickets. Every employee that made a donation to our agency was entered in this draw.
On September 30th, DASCH will be invited back to Pembina Dodge for a BBQ once again organized from their management team. We are more than excited to be part of such a generous act of philanthropy.
Thank you Pembina Dodge for thinking of us and we appreciate your hard work in making September a memorable one.
On July 26th 2011, the St Anne’s Day Program hosted the second annual “DASCH Day at the Ballpark” . The Goldeyes baseball club graciously donated the CanWest Global Park to us for the day. We had the opportunity to have the entire park to ourselves and run the bases like the pros. It was an amazing day, and the weather co-operated and it turned out to be a sunny field of dreams kind of day.
Everyone arrived at the registration table by 10:30 where they were given one of 4 team colors. The event was attended by the DASCH Day Programs and numerous other agencies such as the Salvation Army Community Venture, EPIC Options, Pathways & Transitions. Approximately 260 people attended. The day started off with a three part relay race, and after our first round of games, and our appetites worked up, lunch was served which entailed hotdogs, chips, freezies and drinks. Following lunch we had a tour of the park and provided us lots of history and stories about the team and the park. Our kickball game started after we split the four teams into two our guests verses DASCH. We had some amazing pitches, great saves, hard kicks and even some base slides and when the dust cleared it was 24 to 2 for our guests. After speaking to some of our individuals they swear they were being gracious hosts by letting our guests win, but I think we have a year to work on our skills…So till next year we will remain gracious, but then we plan on giving them a run for their money. We look forward to next year for our third annual DASCH Day at the Ballpark.
