“We are very excited that iA Financial Group chose DASCH’s submission,” said Karen Fonseth, Chief Executive Officer of DASCH, “this donation will allow us to fund the creation of 10 Multi-Sensory Rooms (MSRs) throughout Winnipeg that will have a direct positive impact on the mental health of the youth and adults we support living with intellectual disabilities and autism.“ Fonseth continued, “MSRs are specially designed rooms equipped with devices and furniture that help improve mood, decrease anxiety and fear, decrease disruptive behaviours by comforting and calming, and provide a sense of security and safety. As the only charity in Manitoba in the top ten, we ask all Manitobans to cast their vote for DASCH to help change the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.”
