The COVID-19 Pandemic has been an unprecedented time for us all around the globe. Our routines have changed drastically and continue to do so daily.

For those with an intellectual disability, routines, familiarity and a sense of knowing what is happening, is vital to their well-being. While the majority of us are able to take things day by day, our most vulnerable have a harder time adjusting.

Due to the pandemic, DASCH has had to postpone many of the programs and family visitations that provide DASCH clients with a sense of community and comfort. This reality has also meant we have had to rely on many innovative and creative new initiatives, and ways to keep our DASCH residents busy and active – mentally, physically and emotionally.
