Fundraising & Events
Corporate and Community Fundraising
Corporate giving is inclusive and impactful.
When businesses and their employees unite in their shared commitment to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, something truly remarkable occurs. DASCH Foundation welcomes the chance to collaborate with you to explore opportunities in corporate events and gifts (including matching gifts), sponsorship or volunteerism. Together, we can achieve more. A partnership with DASCH Foundation yields a powerful impact on the empowerment of a community inspired to greater inclusion.

In the Community
Community engagement is the cornerstone that transforms ideas into meaningful action and helps us move forward together toward a brighter future. Through active involvement, open dialogues and collaborative projects, we create a shared commitment to drive positive change, build excitement and contribute to a stronger understanding throughout the community. Ultimately, community engagement amplifies the foundation’s impact, creates a ripple effect of participation and social relationships and nurtures a sense of unity, trust, and mutual respect.

2023 Initiatives
Gimli International Film Festival
In partnership with the Gimli International Film Festival, the DASCH Foundation proudly presented the exclusive GIFF premiere of “Champions” at the Gimli Festival Theatre on July 26th, 2023. This screening marked the festival’s highest audience turnout, bringing together families, friends, and organizations from across Winnipeg to experience the film. Shot in Winnipeg and Selkirk, the movie showcased talented local actors and extras with intellectual disabilities, adding an authentic touch to the production. The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the shared enjoyment and appreciation.
Peak of the Market
The DASCH Foundation organized a “Packing Party” with Peak of the Market in June 2023.
DASCH volunteers and members of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers staff came out to Peak to help box THOUSANDS of pounds of potatoes. Those potatoes would then be delivered to different community service groups in the city.
CTV and the Winnipeg Free Press stopped by to check out our fantastic crew.

End of Summer BBQ
Building on the success of the Gimli International Film Festival, DASCH Foundation hosted a community summer BBQ gathering bringing together not only the people DASCH supports, friends and families from DASCH but also people from various organizations throughout Winnipeg. The event featured a selection of food, live entertainment, engaging activities and sought-after prizes, all of which garnered an overwhelmingly positive response.
DASCH Oral History Project
In collaboration with the University of Winnipeg Oral History Centre, DASCH Foundation has initiated a project aimed at recording the history of DASCH to capture the valuable institutional knowledge they possess. Emerging leaders and volunteers benefit greatly from the insights, information, and motivation woven into the recollections and narratives of respected mentors within the organization.
