2026 Merit Award Recipient: Jeff Lamoureaux

This award is given annually to a person whom DASCH supports in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments and perseverance.

A Journey of Growth and Determination

Jeff’s journey is defined by perseverance, pride, and passion. Outgoing and always ready to make others smile, Jeff has grown tremendously over the years, both personally and professionally.

With determination and the support of those around him, he has achieved incredible milestones. Mastering new skills at his workplace and launching his own DJ business showcases his determination and commitment to learning, growing, and embracing new opportunities.

A Valued Team Member, On and Off the Job

His presence brings happiness to everyone around him. Whether he’s sharing music, telling jokes, or watching a game with friends, he brings people together. Jeff has built long-lasting relationships with friends, staff, and roommates, fostering an environment of positivity and inclusion.

At home, his impact is clear; one of his roommates lights up whenever Jeff is near, and the other is always excited to see him after work. These connections highlight Jeff’s talent for forming genuine bonds and helping others feel truly appreciated.

After completing our DASCHWorks program, Jeff became an important part of the team at Mercedes-Benz, one of DASCHWorks’ employee partners, where he held a full-time role for more than two years. His precision and care in detailing cars are matched by the camaraderie he shares with his colleagues and the respect he holds for his supervisor, Mike.

Outside of work, Jeff’s enthusiasm extends to his passion for sports and music. He’s an avid fan of the Jets, Moose, Bombers, and Penguins, and his love for music inspired him to launch his own DJ business. We’re proud to have him join us at the 2026 Possibilities Gala presented by Mid-Town Ford, providing music during cocktail hour.

Bright Future

Receiving the DASCH Merit Award marks a proud milestone in Jeff’s journey. With his sights set on growing his DJ business, exploring new horizons and inspiring those around him, Jeff’s future is bright.

Since Jeff was selected for this award, he moved out of his DASCH home and into a living situation with fewer supports, a testament to his commitment to growth. He says without DASCH, he would have never gotten to where he is today.

To others working toward their goals, Jeff offers simple but powerful advice: “Work hard and do your best.”
