The DASCH Recognition award is presented annually at the DASCH Foundation Possibilities Gala to a person(s) or organization making significant contributions to the well-being of youth and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Our Shared Values

Leila Pharmacy, part of Northway Pharmacy group, has long been a trusted partner in supporting DASCH and our mission. Their commitment is rooted in shared values and a deep belief in inclusive, person-centered care.

At the heart of their work is a simple but impactful idea: everyone deserves quality, accessible healthcare. That includes people who are often overlooked – like those living with intellectual disabilities. Leila Pharmacy and the Northway Pharmacy group work to fill the gaps in our healthcare system, collaborating with allied agencies like DASCH to build better, more responsive services.

“The rippling effects of one positive change at a time builds into a movement, and we love having allies in the system who tackle the problems with us from multiple angles,” says Lucy Vuong, pharmacy manager at Leila Pharmacy.

Care That Goes Beyond the Counter

Their support for the people DASCH serves, and our staff teams, is hands-on and heartfelt. From personalized pharmacy consultations and after-hours assistance to medication organization and training for DASCH staff, their team is always ready to help. They coordinate directly with prescribers and case managers to ensure seamless care, and they’re a regular presence at community events and a longtime sponsor of the Possibilities Gala.

“The team at DASCH always makes us feel warm, welcome and included as part of their community,” says Colin Langedock, pharmacist and partner of the Northway Pharmacy group.

Leila Pharmacy, part of Northway Pharmacy group, also demonstrates a commitment to inclusive hiring by welcoming people with disabilities to their team.

Providing meaningful employment to Stanford, a DASCHWorks participant, who assists with the medication disposal process. This task is both tough and tedious to keep up with, but Stanford’s colleagues say he always brings positive energy to work and is a valued team member.

A Partnership Focused on Impact

“What a great and humbling honour to receive this recognition,” says Colin. “We never need the acknowledgement to keep doing the work we do. Yet, it is encouraging to know we are making a difference.”

For Leila Pharmacy, part of Northway Pharmacy group, supporting DASCH isn’t just good business, it’s reflective of their desire to improve the world in ways that transcend the walls of their pharmacies and offices. Their actions consistently align with their belief that everyone has a meaningful contribution to make.
