Making Connections

By engaging in crafting, fishing, nature walks, participating in pow wows, and tending to the recreation of a new healing garden, DASCH community members can foster meaningful connections with their housemates, neighbours, and the wider community. These immersive experiences celebrate cultural diversity and nurture a deeper understanding and appreciation of one another’s backgrounds and traditions. With pride, the people in DASCH’s care and staff are also actively involved in traditional ceremonies and practices.

Through DASCH Cultural Connection, residents are provided with unique opportunities to personally connect with Elders and other multicultural community leaders. This program nurtures an environment for people to connect with one another, offering a safe space for self-expression and a joyful atmosphere.
